Honors Project: Environmental Sustainability in Society’s Energy Use

Honors Course: Honors Composition I

Instructor: Olabisi Adenekan

My name is Mulla Mato Juma. I am an international student and Honors student at Oakton College studying Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Technology. I am interested in environmental sustainability and how energy use affects the environment. My academic work focuses on energy efficiency, responsible energy use, and the role of HVAC systems in reducing energy waste and supporting sustainable communities.

My Honors project examines environmental sustainability in society’s energy use. It discusses how fossil fuels affect the environment, compares renewable and non-renewable energy sources, and explains how energy-efficient technologies such as HVAC systems can reduce pollution and energy waste. Working with Prof. Adenekan helped me improve my research and writing skills and better understand how energy use connects to real world environmental issues.
