My name is Max Dahan, I’m a freshman at Oakton College. I hope to transfer to a four-year university by the end of my freshman year, but as for right now I’m enjoying getting my general education courses out of the way. I decided to pursue an Honors Contract in my Intro to Philosophy course with Professor Frajman because I have an interest in philosophy and thought it would be a fun experience, and it did not disappoint. I had a lot of fun completing my Honors work as well as the work in the rest of my classes, so I hope to carry this momentum into my second semester.
My project is a research paper that attempts to answer the question, “Is art produced by AI real art?” I examine the writings of academics and philosophers who have worked in this area of thought to form my own thesis and defend it. Professor Frajman’s feedback and guidance has been incredibly beneficial while writing this, and he has helped me to push my writing to new levels. This project was challenging, but working through it, as well as working with Professor Frajman has proven to be a great experience.
