2026 Oakton WGSS Conference: Intersections in Motion, Call for Proposals

The Women, Gender & Sexuality Studies Program is excited to announce our Fall 2026 WGSS Conference, Intersections in Motion.... to be held on November 6, 2026.  This one-day conference will center work focused on intersectional, transnational, and interdisciplinary perspectives within the field of women, gender & sexuality studies and will highlight the intellectual and creative work of students, activists, writers, scientists, artists, and scholars. The Steering Committee seeks proposals for research papers, performances, poster sessions, or multimedia works on topics related to the overall conference themes (detailed Call for Proposals info below and flyer attached).

Proposals can be submitted using this Google form. 

WGSS is excited to showcase the amazing intellectual and creative achievements of our students and provide them with a chance to learn with, and from, fellow students and academics. Proposals that bridge student work in the Honors Program and WGSS are especially welcome.
